North Kazakhstan Regional Court and Mediation Development Center signed a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation

The chairman of the North Kazakhstan regional court Yerlan Aitzhanov and the director of the representation of the republican public association "Mediation Development Center" Aliya Ramazanova signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

The judges, mediators, representatives of the regional branch of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, head of the North-Kazakhstan Center for Mediation and Law "Sodruzhestvo" Galina Pekhotina attended the event.

The parties are aimed at the broad development of mediation and other alternative ways of settling the matter.

"The use of conciliatory procedures allows the parties to the conflict to settle the dispute promptly with the development of a mutually acceptable solution, while maintaining a stable relationship among themselves due to the settlement of disputed issues. Appeal to conciliatory procedures significantly reduces the load on the judicial system and forms the legal culture of the population," Ye. Aitzhanov emphasized. He added that today the courts of the region have opened mediation offices under the akimats, the Mediation Center at the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Petropavlovsk to support the population of remote areas.

Aliya Ramazanova, the director of the republican public association "Mediation Development Center" noted the importance of partnership which will be directed to joint activities to conduct advocacy work among the structural divisions of the akimat on the active use of the possibilities of the "Court Office" service with participation in the court proceedings, and active introduction of institutes of pre-judicial and extrajudicial settlement of disputes (conflicts), and exchange of legal information.

The head of the mediation office of the branch of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Gulbakhsha Musabayeva spoke about the work carried out within the framework of the development of conciliatory procedures.

Within the framework of the meeting, a mediation office was presented in the regional court. Visitors to the office will receive explanations about the advantages of out-of-court dispute settlement. In the future, it is planned to open similar offices in all major regional and city courts of the region.
